We crossed the border from Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereafter referred to as Bosnia even though we were headed to Herzegovina, the southern part of the country). A church on a hill in front of a mountain.

Turkish items are for sale among the souvenirs. Bosnia has had a strong bond with Turkey since the Ottoman days and a Turkish community has been established in Mostar.

The walk in the Medieval Old Town of Mostar is a bit rough going. The stones on it are extremely slippery as they have been shined from people walking on them for hundreds of years. Mostar dates back to before Roman times.

Crossing this bridge to the other part of the Old Town was even more risky, though some people seem to be doing fine with it. I held onto the railings.

The bridge is the Stari Most (Old Bridge). It was originally built in the 16th century by the Ottomans. However, it was destroyed during the Bosnian War as well as were many of the old houses in Mostar. The bridge was rebuilt in 2005. On one side of the bridge live Muslims, and on the other side, Croatians.

Another view. A big event on the bridge is to watch the jumpers from it. One jumped (not dove) from it while we were there but I didn't catch a photo of him. I assume people see someone in a bathing suit and offer him/her money to jump.

Chicken, beef, and pork. They were good.

On the menu was also Plate "Sadrvan" mini--chicken kebabs, sausages, steak, Sp. cavapa, grilled vegetables, french fries, cream, ajvar.

Also offered was Plate "Sadravan" Maxi with some more items added.

Two men across from us ordered the Maxi. They didn't finish it before I saw them taking a needed rest from eating.
