Bicyclists in front of the early 14th-century Kytelers Inn, one of Ireland's oldest inns.

Kytelers Inn, established 1324, by Dame Alice de Kyteler. Her four husbands had all died under suspicious circumstances. She was tried for witchcraftwhich was Europe's first witchcraft trial. Luckily for her, she was able to escape to England.

Smithwick's Experience.

The Courthouse. It was originally Grace's Castle, built in 1210. In 1792, it became a courthouse. It was also an 18th century gaol (jail).

The Roth House, a merchant's townhouse built in 1594.

The Black Abbey, founded in 1225 by the Earl of Pembroke for the Dominican Friars.

The Tholsel, built 1761, as a place to collect tolls. It has also been used as a customs house, a courthouse, and a guildhall.

The trolley I took around Kilkenny. Not a good vehicle to take photos from but the ride showed me places I would want to walk to later.
